Weekend's almost over...

What is your idea of a perfect Sunday morning? To find those forgotten large bills tucked away in my wallet for that emergency I never needed and a flea market to discover, to find an amazing little mexican restaurant with awesome salsa & chips for lunch, drive down to the lake and watch the sun set into the water or find a delightful bed and breakfast, check-in, read all night and know that there’s no work the next day due to a snow storm during the night with thunder!!! Quick, I have to leave, I still have time to catch that sun set at the lake...

I've been looking around online and finding some amazing photography...I want to be part of it. I've seen a variety of 30 day challenges for photography, and while I'm not sure if I'll keep up with it each and every day, I like the concept. So for the last couple of days, I've been taking random shots of the things that I see in my daily life.

This first picture & comment I stole and decided to share freely was on a website...the fire hydrant...the sun, peeping through the rain clouds was breathtaking and so I had to save it for future viewing.

I have to admit this is a real challenge for me since I typically photograph people. But there are some amazing non-people photo ops out there and I'm trying to stretch myself. I've been especially excited about the unique persectives I've been seeing people using in their photography...I hope you're inspired to try something new and different with your camera.

Everybody loves a cruise!?

I watched the movied Titanic. Actually, it is one of my all time favorite movies! However, all of a sudden I don't think I like the movie. I now think the Titantic is what I dislike most about cruises. Think about it, even an expert swimmer doesn't have a chance in shark infested waters. So, as I think about my cruise...I begin to drift off into a daydream...look Ma, no arms, no legs, the sharks bit them off. BLINK! WAKE UP! No, I don't know that I ever thought I would enjoy a cruise. Why am I going? Thinking about trying to hang onto an iceberg with no arms or no legs, after the sharks finished having you for lunch. Hard to blow the whistle for HELP! And some of those unsolved crimes are not especially inviting? I think I'd rather go on a train trip than a cruise? What do you do on a cruise anyway? Just eat and look at water and wait to go on shore? Wait! Did I say eat? Do they serve Pepsi? :)

Endless Days

So, what exactly is a "bonafide blogger"?

AND is this month ever going to end? January is my least favorite month of the year and I see that this year they’ve managed to squeeze a whole extra week in it while nobody was looking. Surely it isn’t normally quite as long as this? October has exactly the same number of days and yet it always seems to fly by.

WELL, I went out and booked myself a cruise for the last week of January. Which I am ridiculously excited about. Yes, I keep telling myself that! The sad news is I am going to be separated from my precious kiddos at home. I hope they don't miss me half as much as I already miss them!
